TranslateOD is a cozy and active student house just outside the canal. In September 1968, 6 male Delft students founded this house because the campus housing requirement was finally lifted. These students have been forerunners of the current student life in Enschede.Nu, 55 years after the foundation still live here 5 male students who throw themselves fully into student life, look for challenges and want to get more out of this period than just a diploma. For example, each of us is active in a student association (Audentis of Taste) and is involved in organizing various activities in and around Enschede. Every Monday at 18:00 sharp, our house evening starts, where we eat together and then often go into our shack (the grOD). However, we do enough together in addition to the house evening. We do spontaneous things, go on a house weekend every year, do a tour des parents and we organize the annual OD Midwinter barbecue in our spacious garden, to which we invite other student houses. As the oldest student house in Enschede, we have a good relationship with the former residents, who remain very involved with the house. For example, the youngest former residents regularly drop by for a cup of coffee or a beer. In addition, we hold a Dies Natalis every year, where we go on the hord with many former residents and make Enschede unsafe.
